The House of Representatives Committee on Aviation has ordered Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, to appear before Tuesday, when its investigation into the armoured car scandal will end.
The committee said she must attend even if she has to arrive by chartered flight.
The order came after the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry said Mrs. Oduah was in Israel to sign bilateral air agreement with Israel and will not be able to return before Tuesday.
The committee asked aviation ministry officials, led by the permanent secretary, who was to represent the minister, to leave; saying they had no relevance to the hearing.
The committee said it will only accept presentation from NCAA whose director is in attendance.
The chair of the committee, Nkiruka Onyejeocha, said the committee wanted independent presentation from the NCAA, hence its insistence that the others leave.
Mrs. Oduah is being investigated over the controversial purchase of two armoured BMW cars for N255 million by the NCAA at her request.
She was recently queried by President Goodluck Jonathan who has also set up a three-man panel to probe the deal.
