Arrion served in Rwanda, Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire.
The European Union (EU) Delegation to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, on Monday named Michel Arrion as the organisation’s new Ambassador/Head of Delegation.
A press statement by Press Officer of the Delegation, Modestus Chukwulaka, said that Mr. Arrion, who replaced the former Head of Delegation, David MacRae, presented his letter of credence to President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday in Abuja.
It also noted that Mr. MacRae had completed his duty tour in Nigeria.
The statement also disclosed that Mr. Arrion, a Belgian, was, until his appointment, the Head of Delegation of the EU to Rwanda and as served in the same position in Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire.
