The children were presented with gifts.
The Nigeria Army, 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, on Thursday organised a party for the children of its officers on various special assignments across the country, as a way of boosting the morale of the troops.
The Army Public Relations Officer, Adamu Ngulde, in a press statement made available to PREMIUM TIMES in Abeokuta, explained that, the party was aimed at giving hope to the children whose parents were unable to make it home to celebrate Sallah with their families.
He disclosed that books and writing materials were presented to the children at the event, while prizes were given to kids who distinguished themselves in dancing competitions and other activities.
“The event also aimed to encourage a spirit of togetherness and boost the morale of troops in the course of discharging their duties,” Mr. Ngulde stated.
