Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has become about the first Nigerian politician to get the verification icon on his twitter handle, @Atiku.
Mr. Abubakar, who is a leader of the new faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, recently joined the micro blogging site, twitter, and has about 50,000 followers while following over 20 tweeps.
