Rescue efforts are ongoing.

A three-storey building has collapsed in Hadejia Road, a busy commercial area of Kaduna.
A witness said the incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. bringing down most part of the building. He said several residents on the top floor and shop owners occupying the ground floor are still trapped in the building.
An okada rider involved in rescue efforts told PREMIUM TIMES that a dead woman was pulled from the rubble, while few survivors rescued are receiving treatment at Jowako Hospital, Jos Road, close to the scene of the accident.
But another resident, Bayo, with twitter handle @kayshittu said nobody died but that two women were rushed to hospital, including one who collapsed because her four children were in the building when it collapsed. He said one of the four children is a 40-day-old who had just been rescued alive.
“Rescue operation is still ongoing,” he said.
The ground floor is predominantly occupied by Igbo traders who sell vehicle tyres.
Governor Mukhtar Yero is at the scene of the incident, while both the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, and Kaduna State Emergency Agency, SEMA, officials are carrying out rescue operations.
