The meeting is scheduled to start by 8:00 p.m.

Reports from the secretariat of the Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF, indicate that the meeting earlier called by the forum’s chairman and Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, may be suspended to allow governors attend a dinner organised by President Goodluck Jonathan.

The Director General of the NGF, Ashishana Okauru informed PREMIUM TIMES over the telephone that the governors “are talking, they have just received invitation for the President’s dinner.”

deri-Na_mpitikwelu_na_emmanuel_na_afam, a while ago you people were shaking because it was obvious your GEJ was going to be humiliated. After your president begged, and Amaechi people took pity on your president, you are singing a new cow song. Just wait babies. una eyes plus the eye of una presdient go see wen!

        • Mohammed Haruna

This was what Odili said about obasanjo and Ribadu concerning Amaechi-yet he is struggling to fool himself b4 them-again-and u call such clown cloned by d North and South west with a brain of a dolphine-a human being abi?
(The National leadership and the Presidency under Obasanjo, were clearly bent on not allowing the Amaechi ticket to stand. I Odili fought back as much as 1 could. EFCC was unyielding in their resolve not to allow Amaechi as the candidate for Rivers. I was asked to nominate somebody else severally, and severally I refused to do so. At a very strange meeting at the Villa one night I was pointedly asked by Obasanjo how come I had only one choice for my succession after 8 years in office/ The last straw was the threat by Nuhu Ribadu to resign his position as EFCC Chair and apologise to Nigerians if Amaechi was allowed to be the candidate of PDP in Rivers state.)

How do know that APC has the north central? Man you are very wrong to start concluding about that just because you belief that plateau state, beneu and taraba may give their vote jonathan led-PDP. I’m from there and am very sure my state is for APC man

      • deri

I said already lost North Central-Aliyu is fulani the gwaris will not vote for a fulani again-did i say you should not cast your vote for yr fulani brothers-are there no fulanis who migrated from niger republic in plateau ati benue state-llok d era of importing vote riggers from chad and mali is over-

        • Mohammed Haruna

I understand that you’re full of tribal and religious sentiment, hatrate and you’ve been intimidated by the so called Hausa-Fulani in this country, (1) is Aliyu an APC or PDP member? (2) is he contesting for Gov again or even said he will be going for president? (3) how many gwari do you think are there in the north central? (4) if gwari do not vote Aliyu who is a Hausa-Fulani as you said from their north central, what makes you think they would vote an Ijwoman from as far as south-south? Mind you, I am an EGGON MAN from north central and we are all for credible and corrupt-free leader to rule our beloved and only country so back off with your tribal and religion politics
