The motorcycle was made in Nigeria.
The Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, briefly rode a motorcycle (okada) on Monday in order to showcase the achievement of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The motorcycle was made in Nigeria, according to the Minister of Science and Technology, Ita Ewa.
Both men spoke in Abuja during the ministerial platform where serving ministers showcase the achievements of their ministries.
Mr. Ewa showcased the motorcycle and other products made in Nigeria through the efforts of his ministry; and asked why Nigeria should still be importing things such as soccer balls while there are individuals who can be trained on various skills.
He also stated that until Nigerians pursue vibrant packaging of their processed products, the products would continue to waste.
Participants at the event also joined Mr. Maku to celebrate the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Kehinde Ajoni, on her retirement from the civil service on Thursday as she clocked 60.
