Abuja to witness electricity interruption on Saturday – TCN

The interruption is to allow for emergency work on a facility.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said on Friday that there would be a one day intermittent electricity interruption on June 1 in Abuja and its environs.

This is contained in a statement by Dave Ifabiyi, General Manager, Public Affairs, TCN.

According to the statement, the TCN is working towards enhancing the capacity of power wheeled to the Katampe 330/132kV Transmission Substation to improve electricity supply to Abuja and its environ.

Mr. Ifabiyi said the interruption would enable TCN engineers to carry out emergency work on the sub-station.

He said that the completion of the engineering works at the substation would enhance transmission capacity and improve power delivery to Abuja and environs.
