Bayern are champions of Europe

Bayern defeated Dortmund 2-1.

Bayern Munich emerged champions of Europe after Arjen Robben scored a late goal in the 88th minute to help the German champions beat Borussia Dortmund.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of Bayern who dominated both halves but kept it late to emerge victorious.

The first half ended 0-0 as Dortmund had more goal opportunities but were denied by Bayern goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer.

Mario Mandzukic scored for Bayern in the 60th minute before Ilkay Gundogan equalized for Dortmund with a penalty kick.

Dutchman, Arjen Robben, was the hero of the day as his goal helped Bayern to victory in Wembley in a match watched by German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and UEFA President, Michel Platini.
