Of what relevance is this so called victory if Amaechi loses the governorship of Rivers State and the truth is that we do not want him in Rivers state. This struggle to get rid of Amaechi is not over. The far -North can have him as their governor. Amaechi’s services are no more required in Rivers state anymore and you have to be a son of the soil to know the weight of the statement being made.

    • Abdullahi Muhammad Daniyan

@ concernednigerian if God says he will rule no 1 can stop him so get NOTE of d@!

      • Bashir

Did God talk to you personally. Please take it easy.

    • prince

@ concerned nigerian, I’m a core Rivers man from d Kalabari speaking part.My verdict is dt, Ameachi’s jst perfect 4 us Rivers people and no one except God Himself can remove him.If anyone dare try 2 cause any noise in d name of protest against Ameachi, we will react vehemently!

  • Afam

your headline is one among the headlines that is heating up the polity.Did Gej contested the position with Amaechi? no…journalists should be mindful of the headlines the put.

    • That’s the point if they continue to mislead the public as they are doing, what Amaechi doesn’t know its that it is to his disadvantage.

    • Bashir

The selfishness of politicians and even many Nigerians is to destroy something if they cannot have it. That is what I see happening here. All this while they have used the PDP platform to achieve their selfish interests, all of a sudden it is the party to kill.

It is in cases like these I wish that GEJ was a military man. Take note of how OBJ squashed ATIKU’s ambition of ever becoming president in this country.

You people are lucky that GEJ is a good man.

    • Tobibs

If up till now you don’t realise Jona is doing everything to unseat Amaechi, then you are a certified moron

      • Afam

If GEJ wants Amaechi seat today or tomorrow he will do it and nothing will happen, don’t take his democratic stance as act of foolishness…He is not OBJ and can never bully any body as OBJ did..Ngige will tell you more of OBJ character..

      • IYKE BUFO

Unseat from what? Is Amaechi not the governor of Rivers State, what is the big deal about Chairman of the NGF and how does it affect governance when it is not a tier in the constitution neither is it recognized by it. The NGF is not a registered organization and is insignificant group of over fed politicians who plot on how to cease power. Abeg ojare you need to get a life and stop calling people names imp.

  • Innocent

Jonathan should be mindful that presidential powers is not enough for 2015. Suggestion: Do not run.

    • David Prosper

      Who said so

    • Bashir

My brother we are still in 2013, by 2015 anything can happen. Don’t mess with politicians.

    • IYKE BUFO

      Says who?????

      • AZEEZ ADIGU

Help me ask him o. He is seating in house in front of a computer advising people.

  • felix

@afam_4real23:disqus and concernednigerian, y are u guys so scared of Amaechi. ur oga on top couldn’t handle only Amaechi. I think this is a big setback for oga on top (jona). people can now see that jona have not political backbone. after all the intimidation, Amaechi still won! what a shame to oga and madam on top!! lol!

    • Afam

Point of correction,am not in a fizzle game of anybody but dragging the name of president as headline as if he contested the position with Amaechi is misleading and amount to heating up the polity…They the Premium Times knew a better headline to give the article than this but just like every Nigerian journalists ..Fat brown envelop will always play role from any angle.

      • AZEEZ ADIGU

        Dem no get integrity ojare.

    • David Prosper

Why would it be a shame to them.Did Jonathan contest the position with him.

  • felix

@778d34fd0b2e94eca6dca51d3f117a1b:disqus u are very smart! He would go down in history as the first sitting oga on top to loss election in Nigeria.

  • sherion

@cconcerned Nigerian let me take you back home, we still very well need amaechi if you don’t need him he masses does need him. What has my amiable governor done to you people ? Long live my governor amaechi once more congratulations am so happy for you.

  • sherion

@cconcerned Nigerian let me take you back home, we still very well need amaechi if you don’t need him he masses does need him. What has my amiable governor done to you people ? Long live my governor amaechi once more congratulations am so happy for you.

  • nija pikin

Prez Ameachi(2015) congrats, so some nigerian Govs still have balls this is amazing( oga they are not scared of you woo! pls change style b4 its too late. Ask OBJ for advice on how the Govs forced him to nominate a Gov to succeed him(yaradua).

    • Bashir

And you think the opposition is working hard so that Amaechi can be in power, are you really kidding. LOL

    • AZEEZ ADIGU

Dr. Jonathan as President 2015. Let’s be clear on that.

  • olu

It clearly shows that PDP is no longer in control… Let them regroup and rerun the election. 10x. The result wl be in favour of amechi… Jonathan shld buccle up.. 2015 is now.

    • IYKE BUFO

How does it show that PDP is no longer in control, because they are exercising democratic rule and fairness in process. All these corrupt people sef. Abeg Jonathan 2015. When its time for show, show will show.

  • lacristo

message no 1 to jonathan, who recently began to militarise governance in Nigeria…let him and his lackeys bury their heads in shame. GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH.

    • AZEEZ ADIGU

I have to say that you are lacking of gray matter. How do you categorize the removal of an evil such as the Boko Haram and tie it to shame. You side with the killing of Christians, while the killers should be compensated or what. I detest you.

      • IYKE BUFO

Correct guy. Don’t mind the fool.

    • IYKE BUFO

The decisions the FG has taken so far have been in the best interest of all Nigerians. Just as long as you know he is the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. He will apply force whenever he believes it is necessary. Also note that it is not without the consent of the National Assembly and discussion with the Joint Chiefs of the armed forces. Information is power.

  • This is what is puzzling to me, did the President run against Amaechi that with everything that the followers of Amaechi will discredit him. Even if Amaechi wants to run for presidency on the Lamido/Amaechi ticket it is still under the PDP. You do not destroy a platform on which you plan to run.

I find this offense as an ordinary Nigeria. I can’t say I like politics, but I believe the constant bashing of the president is uncalled for. Thanks.

    • AZEEZ ADIGU

Don’t mind all these useless people, after they have enjoyed the previlege of being members of the PDP, they now want to destroy it. They are all shameless.

    • Tobibs

If up till now you don’t realise Jona is doing everything to unseat Amaechi, then you are a certified moron…

      • IYKE BUFO

It is Amaechi who has a grudge with the presidency. Yes he is ambitious, even at that ambition is timely it is not an opportunity to step on everyone’s toes to the top, mind you they will be waiting for you when you decline. Amaechi has become a rascal and a nuisance to self and party, whatever his agenda is I wish him luck, but the arrogance of man is his down fall.

      • AZEEZ ADIGU

My friend you are a mad man.

  • David Prosper

Must you involve the president in everything. The election was between Rotimi Amaechi and Jonah Jang,So why are they making it seem like the election was between Rotimi Amaechi and the president. If the president opposes Rotimi Amaechi so what.

    • The matter is even among them (governors) sef. They are the ones that know what is to be gained by being chairman or not. The president is already in Aso Rock, it is not a matter of dispute. Amaechi is the one looking for presidency.

  • Agbor Kingsley

The electoion was not for GEJ and Amaechi what actually brought in Mr President in this matter.People never mind their business,Amaechi won the election it is his own cup of tea.How does that concern Mr President.

  • Muhd

congratulations Nigeria for a victory for democracy. The victory of Mr Amaechi is not just his or the governors forum, its a victory to all Nigerians against the hijackers of true democracy.

    • IYKE BUFO

      RUBBISH

  • Daniel Yama

D bible didn’t miss it where it’s written dat I’ll cause a confusion in d camp of ur enemy. PDP is d enemy of success of dis country. God will continue 2 creat confusion in their midst n every where they are gathered to hold meeting.
