Gunmen on Thursday night attacked a prison, a police station and a bank in Adamawa State.
The attack occurred in Mayo Belwa Town, the birth place of the state governor, Murtala Nyako.
The spokesperson of the police in the state, Ibrahim Mohammed, confirmed the incident but gave no details.
The attack in the governor’s birth place is coming two days after he reportedly made a submission to his colleagues about the security situation in Nigeria.
The attack also comes less than two months after a similar attack on Ganye Town, the birth place of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur.
