The PDP said it as sad by the deaths.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has condemned the Monday bombing of luxury buses in Kano, which led to the death of many Nigerians.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, described the attack as “cruel”.
He also condemned the Monday killing of five persons by unknown gunmen in Maiduguri, saying: “the perpetrators of the acts cannot be justified under any guise.’’
The PDP spokesman said that the party was shocked by the attacks and was deeply saddened over the manner in which Nigerians were being killed for no just cause.
He urged those behind the attacks to have a rethink and to realise that life is sacrosanct.
Mr. Metuh called on Nigerians to learn to live in harmony and to eschew all acts of violence.
He urged Nigerians to be more vigilant and tasked security agencies to double their efforts, especially in intelligence gathering, so as to forestall such attacks.
He commiserated with the families of the bereaved and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
