APC representative says that the party’s manifesto will be different from all the manifestoes that have ever been observed from independence to date.
A member of the APC merger committee, Garba Gadi, said this on Friday in Abuja.
Mr. Gadi, representing the CPC in the committee, said the new association would take measures to address the basic needs of Nigerians. He assured Nigerians of the committee’s determination to present both APC’s constitution and manifesto on Wednesday, adding that sub-committees of the merger would obtain registration for the association in the shortest time possible.
“The process is going on steadily and we have succeeded in many areas touched by the sub-committees of the merger main committee.”
Mr. Gadi said the main committee was in the process of taking a firm stand on the new constitution and manifesto of the association, adding that its new logo was no longer in contention.
He said the logo would further strengthen the members’ faith in the association as well as bind them to the spirit and letter of the constitution and manifesto.
“The next thing after the logo is for the joint committee to agree on the constitution and the manifesto of the party. I will assure you that our manifesto will be different from all the manifestoes that have ever been observed from independence to date.”
According to him, the constitution will contain all the regulations that will guide members’ behaviours. He explained that the opposition parties had since seen the imperative to join forces together and restore Nigeria’s glory.
