Yuguda says job creation can help curb the security challenges in Nigeria.
Mr. Yuguda gave the warning while answering questions from journalists during a one day visit to Yola on Friday.
“Those that are creating the insecurity problems in the country should appreciate the fact that with more insecurity, we will never experience any meaningful progress.
“We can never secure jobs amidst crisis and if you don’t have jobs, you should not expect peace and development,” Mr. Yuguda said.
He identified unemployment rate, especially among the youth in the country, as the principal cause of poverty and security challenges facing the country.
He said the way out of the present security challenges in the country is to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth that are roaming the streets.
The governor said any country that lacks peace cannot attract foreign investors.
He said that peace and security was the responsibility of all, and appealed to Nigerians to collectively stand up and face the reality to move the country forward.
