Jonathan approves deployment of Permanent Secretaries

Some Permanent Secretaries have been redeployed to other ministries.

President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on Wednesday approved the deployment of some Permanent Secretaries.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by Tope Ajakaiye, the Director Press and Public Relations, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The Civil Service spokesperson, in the statement, said that Isa Sali, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, directed that the handing over should be completed on or before March 13.

The changes are as follows: Godknows Igali, formerly of Ministry of Water Resources moved to Ministry of Power; while Baba Faruk of Youth Development takes over Ministry of Water Resources.

Ossi Afemefuna of Ministry of Women Affairs was deployed to Aviation; and Nkechi Ejele of Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (Manpower Development Office) was deployed to Tourism, Culture & National Orientation.

Henry Akpan of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Special Duties) was deployed to Ministry of Communication Technology; while Tunji Olaopa of Labour and Productivity now takes charge of Youth Development.

In addition, Illoh Clement was moved to Ministry of Labour and Productivity; Jamila Shuara, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Special Duties); and Habiba Lawal, Ministry of Women Affairs.
