Armed robbers on Friday evening laid siege at Jere, along the Abuja-Kaduna Road, robbing travelers of their possessions.

A witness said the robbers stopped vehicles and robbed the occupants’ one after the other.
A female victim was seen crying as she complained that the robbers collected everything she had from her. She said she was travelling from a nearby village to Zuba in Abuja.
“Several motorists parked a few kilometres from the position of the robbers, while others returned to Abuja,” a witness whose vehicle waited for the robbers to finish their act, said.
There was no police presence for several minutes while the robbers carried out their nefarious activities.
