The PDP paid tribute to the Nigerian journalist who died in an auto crash on Thursday.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Friday said the party was thrown into mourning when the news of Mr. Ogbodo’s death got to its National Secretariat.
The statement described the late editor, who covered the activities of the PDP for many years, as an exceptional and very hard working journalist who contributed immensely to the development of the country through his reportage of political events.
The PDP said Mr. Ogbodo remained dedicated to his calling as a journalist and carried out his duties with a great sense of responsibility that reflected in the credibility of his reports.

The party condoled Mr. Ogbodo’s family, especially his wife and children; the Guardian Newspapers; and all members of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ, for the death of “this great Nigerian who lost his life in the line of duty.”
The journalist died on Thursday in an auto crash along Lokoja-Okene highway.
