15 Russians accused of importing arms into Nigeria get bail

Fifteen Russian nationals accused of unlawful importation of arms into Nigeria have been granted bail.

A Federal High court in Lagos on Monday handed over the defendants to the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, who is expected to make them available on April 10, the day for hearing.

The Russians are facing a four count charge of unlawful importation, and possession of firearms, as well non declaration of the content of their vessel.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge.
