Wale Babalakin is being prosecuted for alleged involvement in money laundering of N4.7 billion
A Lagos High Court has adjourned hearing till March 27 to allow billionaire lawyer, Wale Babalakin, consolidate his applications intended to quash the criminal charges against him.
Mr. Babalakin, founder of Bi-Courtney Nigeria Ltd, had applied to stop his prosecution on the grounds that the court lacked the competence to try him.
He also stated that the charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is an abuse of judicial process and had been used for his “oppression.”
The adjournment is to enable him harmonize both applications.
