NNPC aircraft overshoots runway in Warri

The  NNPC aircraft happened in Warri, Delta State.

The management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, on Wednesday reported that one of its aircrafts with registration number 5NNOC overshot the runway on landing at Osubi Airport in Warri, Delta State.

In a statement, the Acting Group General Manager, Tumini Green, said that the incident occurred when the aircraft, operated by Aero Contractors, was landing in the morning for routine operations in the area.

Ms. Green did not provide further details on the incident, particularly about the identity of the officials on board at the time the incident happened.

She, however, said there were no casualties or injuries. She also said the appropriate aviation authorities have since been contacted, while investigations have commenced into what may have caused the incident.
