The late wife of former Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahim Dasuki, popularly referred to as Gwaggo was also the youngest wife of the late Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of Northern Region, Ahmadu Bello, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt.
The deceased died last night after battling an illness at the National Hospital in Abuja according to family sources.
She has been buried in Kaduna according to Islamic rites.
PREMIUM TIMES has also clarified that Mrs. Dasuki, 75, is the stepmother of the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki; whose mum died nearly 30 years ago.
She left behind her husband and three children.
The Chief Imam of Yahya Road Jumma’at Mosque, Hassan Yahya, led the prayers for the repose of her soul.
Some of the attendees at the burial include Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State; the Emir of Gwandu, Muhammadu Bashar; former National Security Adviser, Aliyu Gusau; and Ahmad Gummi.
Also at the burial were the Deputy Governors of Zamfara, Kebbi, Niger and Sokoto States.
