The Odunsi market in Ogunpa is currently on fire.
Few hours after a major fire was averted at a NNPC mega station in Ibadan, a portion of Odunsi market Ogunpa area of the ancient city has been engulfed by fire.
Residents told PREMIUM TIMES that the fire started at about 7 p.m., adding that it was caused by an explosion from one of the shops where Dane gun materials are sold.
Fire fighters were yet to arrive the scene as at 8:00 p.m.
The clustered nature of shops at the Odunsi market makes fire spread easily within it.
