The Nigerian activist was arrested for taking pictures.
An activist and aide to the Governor of Ekiti State, Egghead Odewale, who was arrested on Saturday has been released by the Katsina Police.
Mr. Odewale was arrested for taking pictures of a windmill in Katsina. The activist, who is currently undergoing further studies in the U.S., arrived Nigeria during the Christmas break.
In announcing his release, Egghead said on his twitter handle on Saturday afternoon that “my colleague and I have been released from the Katsina Police Command.”
Though popularly known as Egghead Odewale, the activist was born Oluwaseun Odewale.
