The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Kogi has confirmed the death of six people in an accident that occurred on Tuesday on the Lokoja-Abuja road.
The state FRSC Sector Commander, Garba Mohammed, said in Lokoja that the accident occurred in Karara village at 11.10 a.m.

The commander said that the corpses of the dead, comprising two men and four women, were deposited at the hospital. He blamed the accident on dangerous overtaking and over-speeding on the part of the two drivers and advised motorists plying the road to always adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
The accident occurred a day after woman was killed in another accident on the same, while five others were injured.
