The Deputy Governor of Kogi returned from London
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Yomi Awoniyi, has returned to the country following his cancellation of his 12 day Christmas holiday in London.
News of the deputy governor’s return was contained in a press statement issued by his Press Secretary, Michael Abu in Lokoja on Monday.
The statement explained that Mr. Awoniyi had to cut short his trip following the auto crash involving Governor Idris Wada, who sustained a fracture on his thigh, while his ADC was killed.
The accident occurred at Emiworo, on the Ajaokuta-Lokoja road.
It further stated that Mr. Awoniyi returned to the country at about 3.00 p.m. on Sunday and headed straight to see his boss at the hospital where Mr. Wada is receiving treatment.
