Mr. Wada’s ADC died in the accident.
Northern State Governors Forum ,NSGF, has expressed sadness at the death of Governor Idris Wada’s Aide de Camp, Idris Mohammed, who died in a fatal accident during an official assignment; describing the death as a big loss to Kogi State and Nigeria.
The forum also called on Nigerians to fervently pray for the quick recovery of the governor who is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Niger State, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, emphasised the need for “prayers for Governor Wada in order to enable him fulfil his vision of a great Kogi State”.
In a statement signed by Mr. Aliyu’s spokesperson, Danladi Ndayebo, the forum said it is sad that the incident came barely two weeks after the nation lost Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State to an unfortunate air crash.
The statement prayed God to grant Mr. Mohammed’s soul eternal rest, and his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
