The governor is being brought to the Abuja hospital.
Doctors at the National Hospital in Abuja say they are still expecting the arrival of the Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada.
Mr. Wada was involved in a fatal crash on Friday afternoon. His aide-de-camp died in the crash. The governor was initially rushed to the Lokoja Specialist Hospital for emergency treatment.
A chopper had been secured to convey Mr. Wada to the Abuja Hospital for further treatment.
A doctor at the National Hospital told PREMIUM TIMES that they were aware of the governor’s pending arrival and had made arrangements for him.
“We are aware of his arrival and all preparations have been made especially by those in the Accident and Emergency department to receive him,” the doctor said.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Wada’s party, has asked all its members to pray for the governor.
In a statement by its publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, the PDP said it was “yet to recover from a rude shock arising from a recent similar incident.”
