Firefighters are battling to save the palatial mansion
The hilltop palatial residence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo is currently on fire.
The house is located in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Men of the fire service arrived the scene and are currently putting out the fire.
Located along the Ibrahim Babangida Boulevard in Abeokuta, the multi-millionaire naira villa, made up of about six separate structures, was completed shortly before Mr. Obasanjo left office in 2007.
It was built atop a hill, some critics say, to give the former president the psychological feeling of being on top of everyone.
