Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has lost his elder brother, Chukwuemeka to a road accident.
Chukwuemeka, 52, died in a fatal road accident along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway late on Friday.
The deceased was a Director at the Enugu State House of Assembly. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND.
He was married with three children.
The Deputy Senate President described the death as a grievous loss for him and the rest of the Ekweremadu family.
“Emeka was a special kind of brother; he was kind, protective, and a loving elder brother who was always there for everyone all the time,” Mr. Ekweremadu said. “He will be highly missed by the family and I pray the good Lord to grant his soul eternal repose”
The Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway has been in a terrible condition for years and is notorious for car crashes and armed robbery.
