Two feared killed as explosion rocks Kano

The explosion occurred at a police outpost.


At least two people are feared dead from an explosion that occurred on Monday morning in Kano.

Witnesses said some men on motorcycle threw an explosive device at a police outpost near Kantin Kwari market close to an Eid praying ground.

The identity of the deceased and total number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.  The spokesperson for Kano State Police Command, Rilwan Dutse, could not be reached as his phone was switched off.
