The FRSC has confirmed the death of the four
At least four people died from an auto crash that occurred, Friday evening, in Ohiale village of Ogun State.
The village is located in Ifo Local Government Area along the old Abeokuta-Lagos road.
About ten people also sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
A witness told PREMIUM TIMES that the accident involved a Lagos-bound bus, with registration number Lagos XY178 LSR, which skidded off the road and somersaulted while coming from Abeokuta.
The witness said the driver and the conductor of the ill-fated bus, as well as two others, died on the spot; while others sustained injury and were taken to a nearby hospital.
The Itori Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Fatai Bakare, confirmed the accident, saying the bus had 14 passengers in it.
Mr. Bakare stated further that of the 14 passengers, four died from the accident.
“Four passengers who were all males died in the accident and the others have been taken to Ota general hospital,” the Road Safety boss said.
