The parents of the suspect are now in police custody.
An alleged armed robber in Ogun State chose the most unlikely places to hide his ammunition, by keeping them in his mother’s wardrobe.
The parents of Adeyemi Dada, believed to be a notorious armed robber who has led gangs to terrorise various parts of the state, are now in detention after cops discovered guns and ammunition in his mother’s wardrobe.
The runaway suspect resides with his parents at 21, Obarinwa Street, Aiyegbami in Ago-Iwoye Town of Ogun State.
PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the Ogun police got a tip-off about the suspect, and tried to arrest him in his house.

A police source told PREMIUM TIMES that the District Police Officer of Ago-Iwoye, Stephen Iriavbijeh, was tipped about the suspect’s activities and residence.
“On receipt of the information, the DPO led a team of mobile policemen attached to 16PMF Abeokuta to the house of the said suspect to arrest him and also execute search warrant.
“While executing the search warrant, one cut-to size double barrel gun, two locally made pistol and sixteen live cartridges were recovered in his mother’s wardrobe,” the source said.
Following the discovery, the parents of the suspect were subsequently arrested and taken to Eleweran Police Headquarters in Abeokuta for investigation.
When contacted, the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident and arrest of the suspect’s parents.
He added that investigations are on-going and that the police would soon arrest the suspect.
