Nov. 4 (PREMIUM TIMES) — Two former Heads of State, Olusegun Obasanjo and Ernest Sonekan, at the weekend held closed door meetings with the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.
The Egba sons had the secret meeting at the Oke-Igbein government house in Abeokuta. The meeting lasted for about five hours.
The ruler of Egbaland, Adedotun Gbadebo and Osile Oke-Ona, Adedapo Tejuoso joined the trio shortly before the meeting ended.
Other traditional rulers, who attended the secret meeting, also include: Agura of Gbagura,Halidu Laloko and Olowu of Owu,Adegboyega Dosunmu. All of them are Egbaland monarchs
The agenda of the meeting was was not made public, while all attendees refused to talk about its outcome.
When newsmen approached the host – the state governor – he declared that it was a “family meeting.”
