How Kogi govt is promoting corruption, cheating workers

Dear editor,

Allow a space in your widely read media to open a cancerous can of worm in Kogi state
of Nigeria. It appears that Kogi State has carved a perfect niche of corruption for her

Apart from over inflation of contracts and so many other forms of corruption in government offices, there seem to be a lucrative business of plundering the state’s civil servants. Every December, when most states are giving their civil servants bonuses, the reverse seem to be the case in kogi state.

The salaries and benefits of the state’s workers are deducted to the tune of N20,000 per staff. This has been a
practice that the staff can not complain for fear of being dealt with.
