Very impressed about Alao Akala’s performance. Never knew he is still well loved. I’d never thought he could be in a distant seventh but has done well to be better received than Ladoja, the PDP stooge (he’s so unpopular that I don’t even know his name) and Rotimi Makinde.

If her stands well in the opposition, he could make it bigger next time.

    Bravo buddy.

    • zacchaeus Akinleye

What is impressive about Akala’s performance that makes you happy? You must be living on another planet where thuggery and instability fueled by lawlessness thrives. Coming third in this election is only success by mediocrity standard.

      • Wole

Sakeu, you need to grow up. Why whip a dying horse? I didn’t say I expected him to win; I’d thought he will no feature amongst the top contenders. I am sure your plant sees him as a traitor, a thug….someone never to reckon with. I was just impressed that he gave the winners a good shot. His third position is not mediocrity – if at all you understand politics, rather a golden cup. He can retrace his steps and rise again.

        • zacchaeus Akinleye

Irorawole, you’re probably still sucking in your principal’s loss from the Iwo Road motor park, smoking weed. The days of your lawlessness in Oyo state are gone, forever!

          • Wole

You are indeed a dwarf. Ur mum shouldn’t have allowed you near a keyboard.

  • Essence

    Congrats Benue.

  • Alex

…so the jinx is finally broken in Oyo State, thanks to the unpopular former governors.

    +++++++++TRIBUTE TO ORONTO DOUGLAS+++++++++++++

My comrade goes to the land of the saints… But his spirit, brilliance, doggedness, drive and infectious enthusiasm remain with us…In our struggle for self determination, these are of veritable importance. Rest in peace!!!…

    Dear ORONTO,
Let the saints know that our rivers are still soaked with pollution by the environmental terrorist oil companies and their continent Nigerian collaborators.

Let the Saints know that our lands and deep water resources are still being exploited by Nigeria while they give us a paltry and highly provocative 13%.

Let Adaka I.J. Boro and other Saints know that it is worse now than then. But that we are not fainting nor do we despair bcos we’ve gone too far to stop now.

Let Ken S. Wiwa know that he who was part of the Government that hanged him and 8 others is coming back to grab power with the help of Islamic terrorists and the Yorubas who succumbed to threats of blood should he lose for a fourth time in a row….

Only i Nigeria does one become better after rejection in four successive elections!

But the struggle continues. We are sure of victory bcos we know that the triumph of evil over good can only be momentary… as we hold on to the instruction given by Comrade Saro Wiwa, that: “Silence in the face of injustice is treason. “ …We will not be silent. Not even when viruses and worms are sent to our systems bcos we speak out!

Oronto, my Oronto, Rest in peace!!!
God bless the Niger Delta Nation

    • Kingsley Ikwunze

I pray for him to rest in peace. I also want to tell you this men forgot where they were coming from immediately they found themselves in power. They could not comp[lete ordinary EAST-WEST road in four years, even though crude soared to its peak. Lets be real for once did Barr Oronto also forgot the course he fought fo as a young lawyer. I was once an ardent supporter of Asari Dokubu, even when my friends from Niger-Delter called him militant I called him a freedom fighter. Only for him to build a university in Benin republic. Did you try asking for how many homes that food would have been on their table if that institution was built on Niger Delter soil. What happened to they Ogoni UNEP REPORT. I f it was not implemented when their son is in power when on earth will it be implemented. I wish their will be forum for Oronto to tell Ken Saro Wiwa how they felled to live upto expectation.

      • Dan maikoko

The answer is greed. That is how they failed. Again I must correct you, they were absolute rulers for 6 years not four. They not only failed in implementing the Niger delta agenda, they have also systematically taken that agenda off of the national consideration. Any non Niger deltan in power can simply ask what the ND will expect from him when even its own son could not deliver.

        • Ed

Very sad indeed. Jonathan in fairness didn’t participated in the struggle for justice and fairness champion by the likes of Saro Wiwo.
Just like OBJ he was and still an opportunist.

  • The Nation

After 16 local governments, Wike takes significant lead over Peterside, commanding 737,158 votes to Peterside’s 78,884.

    • obyno

even if ameachi was told in his dream that peterside would win rivers and accepted that means he would have to live as a dreamer for the rest of his life.

  • blackdove

Gov Osoba committed political suicide when he left APC, and now he can retire prematurely with Chief Falae. Congratulations Gov Amosun!

    • Kingsley Ikwunze

He destroyed the legacies he built. He would have been part of todays glory.

  • IS.JESUS.CHRIST.A.CHRISTIAN

NEW NIGERIA OF AHMADU BELLO THE SARDAUNA CAME WITH GREATER FORCE IN APC HURRICANE. THE NORTH FACTOR AND SOUTH WEST MUSLIM FACTOR DISPLAYED BRUTALLY IN THE 2015 ELECTIONS. THE SOUTH NIGERIA CHRISTIAN FACTOR WAS ABUSED AND DESTROYED BY JONATHAN AND C.A.N CHAIRMAN ORITSEJIAFOR. THE NEXT CHANCE OF SOUTH CHRISTIAN CAN BEST BE HANDLED BY THE MIDDLE BELT CHRISTIANS.

    • Northerner

      God bless u

    • Colonel Mariama(rtd)

Do not even attempt to impose that filth you call a religion on anybody. Islam is clearly a gutter religion.
You cannot force a decent person to all of a sudden turn to a towel head.
You certainly will have a difficult time convincing me that your prophet(small letters!!!) mohammad received any message from the Angel Gabriel IN A CAVE. He certainly did not fly off to heaven in a winged horse. What kind of nonsense is this? You ididots are even worse than the Christians whose holy book mohammad simply regurgitated.

      • IS.JESUS.CHRIST.A.CHRISTIAN

YOUR STATEMENT SHOWS HOW YOU WERE DEVASTATED AND FATALLY CRUSHED BY THE RESULTS OF GENERAL ELECTIONS IN NIGERIA. AGAIN LET ME REMIND YOU IF YOU ARE NOT A “BORN TO RULE” YOU CAN NEVER RULE. NIGERIA HAS IT’S REAL OWNERS AND WERE ALIVE AND ACTIVE. LIAR AND A BABY FACTORY PRODUCT.

      • Huzaifa Jega

I can only imagine how badly you must have been beaten…tough luck! And, pls, which army did you retire from? RUF? Or maybe Boko Haram? Kai! All these are even too good for such an uncouth, tactless imbecile like yourself. So let me in on the secret please.

    • andrew moronkeji

NO,and that is the mistake our christian folks are making. Jn 3:16b answered it all with the word WHOSOEVER.Again the recent events of 2015 election have exposed so many of christian leaders to the point some of them were preaching ethnic

  • Dan H.

A good spirited fight by Simon Bako L.

  • andrew moronkeji

Some politicians that called themselves DEMOCRATS are actually not e.g Ribadu, Osoba e.t.c. If they are, they will stick to their ideology and not flirting around politically. They are only where they were for only what they can GRAB and that era was gone in NIGERIA political terrain.

Jonathan paves way for ISLAMIC STATE

The damage President Jonathan did is getting much clearer. Without thinking, President Jonathan
has paved the way for ISLAMIC STATE OF NIGERIA. History will NOT remember Goodluck Jonathan

for anything good. He’s almost destroyed Nigeria. A virtual one-party Islamic State can NEVER be

reversed by peaceful means or by Jonathan’s bogus mantra of free and fair election, as Egypt shows.
For next 100 years, Nigerians will be locked in apocalyptic blood-letting; pro and contra Islamic State.

“Sharia should be introduced all over Nigeria. I will continue to show openly and inside me,
the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria. God willing,
we will NOT stop the agitation for total implementation of Sharia in the country. It is a legal
responsibility which God has given us, within the context of one Nigeria, to continue to uphold
the practice of Sharia wholeheartedly. What remains for Muslims in Nigeria is for them to re-double
their efforts and educate Muslims on the need to promote the full implementation of Sharia law.”
