The Gambian government has expelled European Union Charge d’Affairs in Banjul, Agnes Gilliard, the presidency announced on Friday.
According to an official statement issued on Friday night, the EU representative has been ordered to leave the country within 72 hours.
“We are hereby informing the general public that the European Union Charge d’Affairs, Agnes Gilliard leaves the jurisdiction of the Gambia within 72 hours,” the statement said.
The detail surrounding the expulsion remains unknown.
