A 17-year-old teenager was shot dead in Chicago, the U.S. while riding his bike on Monday in a local neighbourhood, media reported.
The incident occurred in the Gresham neighbourhood in the Chicago’s southern region.
The teen had engaged in an argument with men on bikes when he was critically injured.
He died at the University of Chicago Medical Centre, police were quoted as saying.
Local media reports said the victim was among more than 10 people shot in Chicago, three of them were fatally injured.
In a drive-by shooting, three people standing before a residence in another neighbourhood in southern Chicago were injured and one of them, a 27-year-old man, died after being hospitalised.
In another case in the city’s south, a 50-year-old man was killed by a shot in the head and a 55-year-old woman was injured when a gunman, in a ski mask, fired at them.
The victims also included a 62-year-old, who was injured in an attempted robbery, when he was parking his vehicle in a neighbourhood in the northwest of the city, it is reported.
