The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, on Saturday delivered a baby girl, the Kensington Palace has announced.
The newborn weighing 8lbs 3oz was birthed with her father, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, present.
Her name, the palace said, will be announced in due course.
The palace also stated that the Ms. Middleton and her daughter are doing fine.
The palace said the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and the baby’s uncle, Prince Harry have been informed and are delighted with the news of the newborn.
