Nigerian comedienne becomes youngest recipient of AAMMA Awards

The Afro-Australian Music & Movie Awards(AAMMA) has awarded young Nigerian comedienne, Emmanuella Samuel, popularly known as Emmanuella.

The award event which was held in Sydney, Australia, saw Emmanuella
bag 2 awards – Best new comedienne & princess of comedy, making her the youngest comedienne to win the coveted awards.

Emmanuella is said to be seven years old. She first gained fame after appearing in the Mark Angel Comedy video “This is Not My Real Face”.

Mark Angel, owner of ComedyKits who is also Emmanuella’s uncle, discovered her talent.

Mr. Mark was also honoured with a leadership Award.

The AAMMA AWARDS was established by Scrim Entertainment (owned by Daniel Okoduwa) to celebrate the rich culture of African art and entertainment in Australia.

Other recipients in the past include Hollywood icon Vivica A Fox, Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, Tuface Idibia, John Dumelo amongst others.

The organisers described the talent of Emmanuella as simply phenomenal.
