Nollywood film producer, Usman Uzee, shone at the third edition of Kaduna entertainment Awards as his movie, Dark closest, won the best film awards 2015.
Kannywood’s Yakub Mohammed, who acted in the movie, also won the best actor award at an event held Friday at Zeecool Hotel Auditorium Barnawa Kaduna.
Chocolate City president Audu Maikori was honoured with the Entertainment Guiding Light awards for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES, Uzee thanked the organizers for recognizing him.
“The movie (Dark Closest) was a great film because it was a real combination of Northern and southern actors. Yakubu Mohammed was one popular Kannywood actor and I decided to feature him in the film. He did well and that earned him the best actor award,” Uzee Said.
Dark Closest also has actors like Eucharia Anunobi and others.
On his next movie, Redline, Uzee said he had finished all productions and that it would be shown on cinemas in November.
“Redline is another blockbuster I tell you and, by November it shall be at the cinemas. Then you will judge my take,” Uzee Said.
The next awards will held in September 2016.
