Popular host of Fashion Police on E!, Joan Rivers has died.

According to a statement by a daughter, Melissa, Ms. Rivers died on Thursday at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The 81-year-old was on life support for a week after suffering a heart attack during a surgery on her throat.

According to New York Daily News, the comedian’s daughter made the heartbreaking decision to take her off life support.

She was surrounded by close family and friends, Melissa Rivers said in a statement.

The American state health officials are now probing the Upper East Side clinic where Rivers became unresponsive.
