Thank God it’s Monday! – LIFE, By Chinedu Diego

Chinedu Adaakiti, Thank God it’s Monday!

I didn’t write for over six weeks! For a weekly program, I’ve failed phenomenally and should probably just throw in the towel, but I won’t. Because quitting is easy, everybody does it but I’m not everybody and neither are you! I’m tempted to tell you just the good parts of my absence but I shall resist the temptation: during this period, three opportunities I was sure of failed to materialize, I failed to meet some of my low hanging fruit targets, was ill and hospitalized, I could go on… but let me share instead some of the great parts: I attended a much desired conference, met many amazing people, attained some of my major goals for the year, including publishing a book (more on the way), enjoyed my longest holiday ever, on the largest budget till date, enjoyed friends and family deeply. Seemingly the best of times and the worst of times…LIFE! The problem with most of us is we want to wait till the worst is over before we enjoy life but life offers no pause buttons. Simultaneously the happy and sad events occur and like the orchestra conductor, we must learn to turn all the sounds life brings into beautiful music. Some days I couldn’t write, much as I loved and planned to, I simply directed myself to some other activity I could do. Initially, I thought: you are not living ‘Happy Mondays’ but then I realized, happiness isn’t merely smiling from cheek to cheek, it’s smiling through tears because of the Joy ahead, reviewing plans in the light of new realities and never losing faith in the fact that your dreams will come true, eventually! Happy people don’t necessarily have better things. They just choose to have a better attitude about things. Have a happy Monday!

Simply an hypocrite, he had all the access in the past sixteen years of PDP misrule to offer advice to his brother and OBJ but he elect to cut his own share, and now that MR CLUELESS can not take back all benefits he had enjoyed and PDP is no more in power he can rubbish them, but the downtrodden can never be deceive, we know those that fight for common good, not a very selfish man though politically. Thanks.

Maybe Mr Ben Murray-Bruce can tell us what really happened about the transmitters he foisted on NTA and the fall outs. He should shut up because we all know that he got his share of the ‘cake’ through such underhand procurement. Please spare us this your present day ‘holier than thou’ attitude.

I bet he wouldn’t say this if PDP had won the presidential election. He is trying to paint himself as an activist and anti corruption crusaders at this eleventh hour. He is successful, wealthy and has never been far from the corridor of power. Even though not so active he has always enjoyed the milk of a corrupt system. So he should spare us this noise and concentrate on how he can represent his people well in the senate. I pray he will be able to create time from his busy business schedule and attend senate sittings.

People like Ben Murray-Bruce obviously believe Nigerians are fools that can be manipulated at wish. What an opportunist!
Till last month he worked against everything he is now preaching. If is a true convert let him quietly act and not say a word.

Well, Mr Kila, sorry to burst your bubble,95% of pdp members and supporters are a curious case. There are cases of people being declared wanted by the police having the same police as escorts and providing protection. The irony of the Nigerian state is a tragic comedy. If examples are not made of some folks, I’m afraid, the joke is on Nigeria.

Ben Bruce is just an opportunist pure and simple. He thinks ability to muddle some English words together would force people to amnesia just like Omotola (actress) has easily forgotten his recent past and had come out to his defence. He was in charge of NTA and the poor station did not improve a bit only for him to talk and bluff. He says he does not fly first class yet he went to his Silverbird group’s award night with a $30,000 Kia Soul electric car. Where are the facilities for such cars in Nigeria? Even in the USA and Europe how many people ride electric car? Who is fooling who? Only show off . Does he think we are all morons in this country or we are not also widely travelled as he would wont to bluff? He even went went as far as trying to advise General Buhari about composition of his Transition Committee members as if the General was new to governance. He is just trying to position himself as the voice of the next National Assembly. But the it is dead on arrival as we know him too well.

By his record from what he did during Obasanjo and his late wife’s regime, Ben Bruce supposed to be one of those to be investigated by Buhari regime if the President-elect is serious about stamping out corruption from the system. Part of Bruce’s wealth constitutes his loot from Nigerian treasury. Who is fooling who?
