Singer Djinee, who was involved in a fatal car accident on August 27 in Lekki, Lagos, has described his survival as a miracle.

Movie director, Abinibi, broke the news of the accident when he shared video and photos from the accident scene on his Instagram page after it occurred.

Djinee whose real name is Osayamwen Donald has called on his fans to pray for his full recovery.

The music star made his appeal known via his Instagram page on Tuesday when he shared a photo of himself getting scanned for an undisclosed reason.

“The past 8days have seen me go from one crisis to another owing to the injuries (both internal and external) that I sustained, but I offer all these painful moments to God as so many acts of love. By his Grace, I am out of the critical phase,” he revealed.

Djinee also revealed that the accident was his closest shave to death in all car accidents he has been involved in.

“Having been through quite a few near-death situations, this horrific car accident has to rank as the closest! To say my survival is a miracle will be putting it mildly. It is God’s show of grace and mercy! He put me to sleep through it all so there were no maneuvers, no James Bond stunts.. nothing! I literally slept and woke up in the hospital. I want to sincerely thank you for your prayers, and concern. I also want to apologize for being unavailable; the doctor advised that I receive/make fewer visits and calls,” he wrote.

Djinee is best known for his 2004 monster hit, “Ego”. Although he released other songs like I no dey shame and also featured in a couple of songs by Chocolate City, none of these singles could match the success of his hit song, Ego.
