Nigerian artiste, Geniuzz, finally shares new EP

Effyzzie Music Group has finally released the highly anticipated extended play (E.P) by its budding act, Geniuzz, titled “A Slice of Geniuzz (#ASOG)”.

The release of the E.P came shortly after Genuizz premiered the official music video to his love-themed reggae tune dubbed “Love and Affection”, which has been gaining rave reviews on social media since its release.

The body of work which houses eight tracks, two skits and two bonus tracks, features one of Nigeria’s music heavyweights, Yemi Alade, who is also Geniuzz’s label mate.

Also on the features list is Effyzzie Music Group’s sultry singer, Soti, with production credits going to BeatsByEmzo, BeatsByJay, GodwynGuitar, DreyBeats and DuktorSett.

In a telephone interview with PREMIUM TIMES, Geniuzz said the E.P was an expression of his creativity.

“This is just supposed to show creativity and how it should be done. An artiste shouldn’t be boxed. I sing, I rap in English and Hausa. It is a tip of the iceberg on what is about to come,” he said.

When asked what fans should expect after the E.P, he said preparations were ongoing for his debut album, but did not state when it would be premiered.

“I am concentrating on promoting the E.P for now and putting in work for my album. I already have a follow up single for the album,” he said.

When asked about collaborations on the album, he said “I will be working with a lot of people for now. It is when I am ready to work on the project proper that I can categorically state who and who I will be working with”.

The Jos-born artiste, who was formerly signed to Republic Records, joined Effyzzie Music Group in 2015.

Prior to the release of his E.P, he had put out a couple of singles worthy of mention. He featured Yemi Alade on his raving single “Underate” and also featured Falz on “Firewood remix” which drew the attention of his esteemed fans and music lovers.
