Pop singer, Davido, who has been in the news this year for a lot of good reasons, has put pen to paper with Afro Singer, Lola Rae, as the first female artist in his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
A happy Davido took to his Twitter handle to share the news.
He wrote: LOLA RAE WELCOME TO DMW!!!!! 1ST LADY!!!!— Davido (@iam_Davido)
Lola Rae will be joining Dremo, Mayorkun, Ichaba and more recently, Dammy Krane who are also signed under the imprint, DMW.
Davido, who signed a deal with Sony Music earlier this year, floated his new imprint, DMW, to cater for his personal business away from HKN Music, a label he also co-own with his cousins, B-red and Sina Rambo.
Born Rachel Akosua Funmilola Garton, Lola Rae is a Nigerian-born British-Ghanaian singer and dancer who shot to limelight upon the release of her debut single “Watch My Ting Go”, which earned her a nominee spot in the “Most Promising Female Act to Watch” category at the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Her ground-breaking single “One Time” is still making waves across the country.
Few days ago, she dropped “Biko”, a song she featured DMW boss, Davido.
