​​2face, Davido, ​others to perform at Star Music Trek


Nigerian music super stars, Davido, 2face, Wande Coal, M.I have been unveiled as headliners for this year’s edition of Nigeria’s foremost nationwide music concert, Star music trek.

The unveiling which took place on Friday, April 24, 2015 at a party held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos also saw musical performance from Oritse Femi, Skales, Black magic Sound Sultan and General Pype and ‘shoki’ coroner, Lil Kesh.

The trek, which will be in two phases will kick off on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Calabar, Cross Rivers State​,​ at the Calabar Municipal Garden and move to Abakaliki and Aw​k​a on May 9 and 16 respectively.

The second phase will kick off at Makurdi on August 1 and stop at Sapele, Auchi, Ibadan and Lagos on August 8, 15, 22 and 29 respectively.

Other artistes billed to perform on the trek include Wizkid, Seyi Shay, Timaya, Burna Boy, Naeto C, Mr. Raw, Yemi Alade, Oritse Femi, Faze, Runtown, Cynthia Morgan, Banky W, Sean Tizzle, Sound Sultan, Black Magic and Fuji music star, Pasuma.

The unveiling also had notable music DJs DJXclusive, DJ Snoop Damaja, DJ Switch, Tony Blaze and DJ Big N on the wheels of steel.

An excited Seyi Shay who spoke with journalists shortly after the announcement ‘Star Music Trek is the longest music tour in Nigeria and I’m so glad I’m part of this year’s train’.

Speaking on this year’s trek, Corporate Affairs Adviser, NB Plc, Kufre Ekanem, stated that the choice of acts was based on their dedication to their musical careers.

Another major highlight of the night was the announcement of the five lucky guests who shared their inspiring life story during the #MySuperStarStory viral conversation. These winners will go on an all expense paid trip to Star Music Trek concerts in different regions.
