As the Christmas and New Year festivities begin, PREMIUM TIMES recommends six Kannywood movies to enjoy during the holiday.
1 – Sa-In-Sa – The plot of this 2015 super hit Kannywood drama is intricate and taut, and will help viewers with troubled homes.
The movie shows that one of the best ways parents can train their children is by avoiding quarrels or physical attacks on each other in the presence of their children.
Adam Zango and Umma Shehu, his wife, are blessed with two kids – a girl and a boy. But their fractious relationship leaves their children, especially the girl, Aisha Muhammed, dejected always.
Tragically, Umma kills her daughter, Aisha, during one of the numerous clashes with the husband.
What a lesson!
2 – Sarki Jatau – Sarki Jatau will remind viewers of the teleplay, Magana Jarice: the brutality of the Waziri hell-bent on being king by plotting to murder the son of the king who was away at battle.
Just like the Waziri in Magana Jarice, Sarki Jatau (Tijjani Faraga) was a ruthless king determined to get his way at all costs. His subjects despised him and plotted to end his reign.
Sarki Jatau will lead the audience on a fun and intriguing adventure with a satisfying end.
3 – Gwaska – Gwaska is a classic and fully testified by fans of Kannywood as one of the best so far this year. The film features Adam Zango, Falalu Dorayi, and Tijjani Asase.
The film was about a young man name Gwaska (Adam Zango) who was all out fighting for the less privileged in the society.
What made this film exceptional in 2015 is the creative story line and the use of fashionable make-up.
4 – Gidan Kitso – Gidan Kitso is full of sidesplitting and breathe taking scenes.
Ali Nuhu, Jamila Nagudu Fati Washa and Aisha Tsamiya were all caught up in one family saga.
While Jamila Nagudu and Aisha Tsamiya were Ali Nuhu’s two wives, they never lived in peace for one day.
The drama began when Ali Nuhu fell in love with another girl who is his first wife friend ( Fati washa).
5 – Indon Kauye – Hilarious it is and acted by Ali Nuhu and Hadiza Gabon (Indo).
It is a film about a village girl who marries a successful young man in the city.
She had to be taught how to even talk decently. The marvelous thing about this film is the ability of the makeup artist to turn her looks into real village girl.
She disturb in school, created so much chaos at home and destroy everything that comes her way.
6 – Hindu – Hindu is a film that is typically traditional. The costumes and location were of the ancient Hausa setting.
Acted by Adam Zango as the lead character, it was about a princess (Jamila Nagudu) who got married to a hunter (Adam Zango) after winning a contest for her hand in marriage.
He was very ugly and never the choice of neither the princess nor her parent.
