Popular Kannywood actor and director, Adam Zango, has married another wife.
He married Ummul Kulsum, a Cameroonian.
The marriage came as a surprise to many of his fans and colleagues as the plan was kept secret.
Zango now has three wives, and the latest bride came barely three years in to his marriage to Maryam Yola – his second.
In 2014, Zango was accused by a Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, of making sexual advances at her, and ejecting her from an upcoming cast after she turned him down.
Zango denied the allegation but later apologised to Sadau, and her manager, Ali Nuhu, over the incident.
Months later, another actress, Nafisa Abdullahi, openly gushed about love for Zango and prayed that they would be together someday.
She reacted on her Instagram on Thursday to news of Zango’s new union, saying, “I have always prayed for the best and for me this is the best”.
Most of his colleagues refused to comment on the marriage when contacted.
Hassana Dalhat, a kannywood film marketer and promoter, who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES, said this is the fourth time Zango is getting married.
“I guess Zango likes women and like it is rumoured in the industry at the moment, he has divorced his second wife before he married the Cameroonian. For me nobody knows how many wives Zango has now. All I know is he is a Muslim and he will not exceed the four that is allowed,” she said.
