“My aim is to resolve conflicts amongst celebrities like musicians, actors, photographers and public figures”
Although celebrity conflicts often set the tone for discussions whilst entertaining fans, Showbiz practitioner, Patrick Archibong says he is unhappy about the trend.
To this end, Archibong says he intends to launch a new show, titled Celebrity Issh designed to resolve issues (beef) among public figures.
According to him, the programme will see warring parties resolve their issues live on air and in front of an audience. Shedding light on the concept he says, “the popular saying that ‘if we have no peace it is because we forget we belong to each other’ gave me the push to come up with the idea. My sole aim is to resolve conflicts amongst celebrities like musicians, actors, photographers and public figures (business moguls etc). This, I think will help resolve the issues because it would be aired live on an interactive segment, where the parties would be brought together with their Fans to strategically and diplomatically resolve the conflict.”
On why he chose to focus on celebrities, he says, “the public see them as the fore front of the nation after the political leaders, and they are seen also as role models, and affect lives positively or negatively. My desire is that it gets across to the Pam-African audience hence the reason to air the show on African Magic later in the month.
