Photo News: Sanusi stuns colleagues with dress style

Fresh from his coronation as the Dan Majen Kano, the CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, ditched his English suits when he resumed office on Wednesday and appeared in his traditional chieftaincy regalia.

Apparently seeking to impress his colleagues, or just eager to show off his new title, Mr Sanusi got his colleagues to gape at him as he spent the day at work dressed as a traditional chief.

Mr Lamido was made Dan Majen Kano last week.

I guess it is okay to dress as a bishop to the CBN tomorrow. This Sanusi is a humorless clown.

    • InnerVoice

@Tedfriendly… My friend, let me enlighten you. SLS outfit is not a problem, but the way you perceive him. He was just given a traditional title, for God sake give the man a break. Awolowo, Okotie-Ebuh, Sardauna and other national figures that held both political and appointed offices wore their garments and robes, traveled from Nigeria to Eldorado, so why is it hard for you to appreciate this honor given to him by his kith and keen?
People like you reek of bigotry and hatred, fuelled by national myopic-ness and unpatriotic emptiness. How can you even compare a bishops or imams outfit to what SLS is wearing?

  • What would Sanusi do, if one of his staff who is a member of white garment church, should come to work with his/her red gown and cap. Thia man will not cease to amaze me.

    • DonMas

The problem with you people is that you see mischief where there is none. So what if all the Bishops at CBN decide to dress so? How does that impair them from their work, or any one else for that matter? Pls be rational and sensible, and learn to appreciate a little timely humour from an Honourable man.

U’r sound really dumb, u can’t just differentiate religion from culture, quit hating! This is not the first time he’ll dress in a princely regalia to work. Allow the guy, he’s an hausa prince first before a CBN governor and it doesn’t affect he’s inputs to work.people like you are sentimental ethno-religious bigots. I work in a company whose CEO is a catholic priest, he wears cassoct to work at times. So quit hating and shut up.

Bad people WILL always remain EVIL PEOPLE. They are so clueless, and pesky. What has the title of Dan Majen Kano got to do with bishops and white garment church attire? Is everything HAUSA now ISLAMIC? Even the hausa Christians are now Muslims? Idiots, do ya all think that the title is Islamic? Afterall, was the title not there before the advent of ISLAM in Hausaland? Why HATE the Muslims this vitriolic? Dan Majen Kano, Long may you live for your enemies to see through your reign !!!!

evil on two legs. bet there is a bomb under those robes. rag heads.

  • Beegee

what you people fail to realise is that the CBN has a dresscode that should be adhered to.and if anyone shoulde break the law,it should not be te governor! please lets quit being ignorant!

  • Alphonsusduniya

I seems to agree with Beegee. The banking industry has a dress code. Sanusi has violated the law . Simple, or do you want to tell me that the CBN is his kingdom?

  • Yf60

That was real cool. Hope he rode on a horse to work.
